Security services have always been an incredibly important industry. They can be traced back to ancient Rome and even pre-date law enforcement. Unfortunately, in Spokane this historic and diverse industry is dying. Companies focused only on profits have cast their employees and clients to the wayside in search of the “next big contract”.

Columbia was born from our disdain for the “profits before people” method. Created by two officers who had enough of greed and a lack of accountability, it was built on a foundation of truth, effective protection methods, officer retention through support and training, and client relationships.

By leveraging our combined 30-odd years of experience in law enforcement, security and related fields, we have created an organization to be proud of. While we are still small, we hope you will join us in our journey to make things right and keep people safe in our community while supporting organizations that are making a real, tangible effect to improve living conditions in Spokane.

That said, you should know that we are the only local security company owners that grew up here, and seeing our city change over the years has been heartbreaking. That’s another reason why we set out to improve the lives of our friends, neighbors, and small businesses. Additionally, we are disabled veteran owned and donate a potion of all proceeds to local, underfunded charities that make an impact.
